Joint Article - Bicycle Advocates Question City Ordinance Blocking Brook Road Bike Lanes

Audience members express concerns over lack of accessible safety routes for cyclists during the Brook Road Bike Lanes public information meeting at the Richmond Police Academy in Richmond on Tuesday, Sept. 11.

This article is about a meeting concerning the Brook Road bike lane plan and the potential ordinance to block its construction. It was a collaborative assignment for the 2020 Robertson School multimedia journalism cohort. This assignment served as an exercise in covering government meetings and working in a group to cover an event. In this article, I assisted with drafting the body of the story along with Caroline Nauman. Quianna Adams, Jaclyn Barton, Patricia Cason, David Timberline, and Eric Everington also contributed to this story.
