Our society faces immense danger from misinformation, fake news, and “alternative facts.” I believe there's never been a more critical time to seek truth and give a voice to the people and places who face these issues.
My goal as a reporter is to take the complex and make it understandable without losing the nuance of the matter. I covered a myriad of beats, but my passion lies in stories about technology, politics, and how the two intersect.
I grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, and have lived in the Richmond area since 2016. While in Richmond I spent time as a non-degree student at Virginia Commonwealth University before being accepted to the Masters in Multimedia Journalism program in 2018.
I finished my master's degree at the end of 2020 after a summer of intense civil unrest and as the COVID-19 pandemic continued to escalate.
Before that, I lived in Fairfax, Virginia, where I received my bachelor’s degree from George Mason University in International Relations in 2013. In the time between my studies, I worked to support my hobbies like rock climbing, cooking, gaming, and traveling.
